I came across Tough at the Top at a BizWeek event about Employee Engagement run by H&H. The event itself was really fun and interactive and I was intrigued to read the book itself.

Business books are usually quite a heavy read but I really enjoyed this one. Rather than going through lots of academic theory, the book uses the story of Adam and the circus performers to look at different examples of situations everyone will recognise. Demotivated employees, managing risk, uncovering hidden talents, etc.

The authors clearly know their stuff and it really made me think about how I manage my people back in the workplace. It didn’t take too long to read and I feel I learned a lot in a short time. Would definitely recommend.

"ACCESSIBLE INTRODUCTION TO THE PRINCIPLES OF EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT"

"THE MOST FUN I’VE EVER HAD READING A BUSINESS BOOK – LOVED IT"

"If you’ve had enough of dry, endless business tomes filled with impenetrable jargon – this is the management book for you.

Adam's progress from inept cluelessness to accomplished leadership is intriguing and informative - and best of all funny and entertaining.

You'll probably find yourself recognising some of your own mistakes in Adam’s story (I certainly did). It gave me a lot to think about and I’m looking forward to putting the principles into practice."
